•  Housed in the 1914 Chester County Jail, the  Chester County Historical Society Museum and Archives houses a fine and varied collection of Chester County Artifacts.  Our Collections includes Catawba Pottery, one of the largest and finest  Native American Projectile Point collections in the Southeastern USA, over 80 long rifles and 35 hand guns in our Gun Collection, An ordinance of Secession, the Aaron Burr Bench, Coca Cola Bottle Collection, The Samuel McAliley Parlour, and more.

Come see our latest exhibit on the Carolina Maneuvers.  Chester County was at the center of it all!  "Khaki tents sprang up like toadstools in the fields and woods around Lowrys.  Mock battles from October 6 to November 30, 1941 were staged between the "Red Army" and the "Blue Army"...troops in Army drab who came from many different places in the country found friendlyness and warm hospitality in Chester County"...A Goodly Heritage compiled by Anne P. Collins
