THE OLD SEABOARD RAIL ROAD DEPOT HOUSES OUR ECLECTIC COLLECTION OF SURFACE TRANSPORTATION ITEMS. BUILT IN 1888 AND PRESERVED BY THE CHESTER COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY THROUGH A DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION GRANT,
The Chester County Transportation Museum illustrates the development and evolution of transportation in our country.
You will find a varied collection that includes a 1916 Ford, a 1921 LaFrance fire truck, a 1906 Model N Ford, Early buggys and Cotton Wagon - even an old Cotton Scale! There is a 1925 School Bus used in the Wellridge Community and a huge collection of license plates dating from 1917 to 1975. We even have a 1934 Ford V-8, just like Bonnie and Clyde drove during their bank robbing spree. Our 1925 Ford Model TT school bus, used here in Chester County, is ready to board.
One of our Civil War era gun tubes is on display also!
